The OTTO DÖRNER Group now controls around 180 of its own and third-party vehicles with the OPHEO transport management and telematics system. The solution developed by Hamburg-based Opheo Solutions GmbH was particularly convincing with its fully integrated telematics, the integrated ETA forecasting function and the calculation of the contribution margin for each vehicle used while it is still being dispatched. The 60 user licences are used in two subsidiaries of the OTTO DÖRNER Group in the sand, gravel and landfill business division. The subsidiaries not only deliver gravel and sand to construction sites, but also collect and dispose of material from the sites.

The decision in favour of OPHEO was preceded by an intensive analysis of many transport management systems. “In a competitive comparison, OPHEO proved to be the most intelligent and innovative software for managing our fleet,” explains Managing Director Oliver Dörner. He was also convinced by Opheo Solutions’ “high level of industry expertise” in the building materials and bulk goods sector.
