Digital Transport Control Center: More AI for OPHEO 5.0
initions AG will show the latest release of its digital transport control center OPHEO at the trade fair transport logistic (4 – 7 June 2019). The new features of the latest release 5.0 include enhancements of the integrated ixOptimizer for automatic tour planning. Another new feature is the digital departure check which the driver can execute using the telematics app OPHEO Mobile. Moreover, initions partnered up with Xplus1 to now offer trailer location with automatic rescheduling. You can find initions AG at booth 411/512 where they will present their products together with telematics specialist Xplus1 and TomTom Telematics. Their booth is in hall A3.
To further optimize tour planning, the ixOptimizer’s AI algorithm was enhanced: It now also takes into account subsequent loading restrictions including prescribed cleaning in case of certain product switches on-board the vehicle. The ixOptimizer not only considers the fact that different cleaning processes need to be scheduled, but also optimizes the tour and product sequence in such a way that prohibitions are observed, cleaning is avoided or cleaning times are minimized. Moreover, the ixOptimizer in OPHEO 5.0 allows for following a predetermined shift schedule for the vehicles. Multiple possible switch locations of the drivers can be stored, which are optimally used in the generated tour plans.
In combination with Xplus1, OPHEO 5.0 now also includes trailer tracking with automatic rescheduling: a trailer tracking system independently determines, besides the location data via Active RFID, which trailer is currently connected to which truck. The identified association is relayed to OPHEO, where the recognized trailer is automatically assigned to the truck’s tour.
The telematics app OPHEO Mobile has also been enhanced with additional digitization features. For example, drivers can now carry out the departure check via tablet using a configurable checklist. Any defects detected can be directly captured with a tablet or smartphone camera and integrated into the process. Additionally, OPHEO 5.0 supports barcode-scanning upon goods delivery or pickup which simplifies and accelerates error-free recording of shipment data. Another new feature is the enhanced staff scheduling function: it provides the dispatcher with an overview of the available drivers and manned vehicles for a specific planning period and allows him to directly adjust the assignments. If a vehicle is not manned because the driver is on leave, the dispatcher can temporarily assign an available standby driver to the vehicle via drag & drop. Of course, the assignment is checked with regard to the driver’s qualification, transferred to the calendar and automatically taken into account for planning purposes.
Besides its functional enhancements, OPHEO 5.0 also comes with a modern look. For the redesign of the user interface, the focus was on transparency and ease of use. The color scheme used now highlights key information in a more targeted manner, providing an even better overview and making working with the app more pleasant.
