initions AG Again Honored for Research and Development

For the third time in a row already, initions AG has received the seal “Innovative through research”. Awarded by the German organization Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft, this seal honors companies demonstrating special achievements in research and development (R&D). It was awarded for the first time in 2014 and is valid for two years.

The seal of approval is awarded as part of a biannual study of business research and development in Germany (“Forschung und Entwicklung der Wirtschaft in Deutschland”) conducted by the Stifterverband on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The German government uses this data for its economic, innovations, and technology politics. Companies, trade associations and research institutes can also access the results. initions AG’s current innovations include, for example, the intelligent planning technology Smart Planning, automatic tour planning (Optimizer) and ETA forecasting.

Stifterverband is one of the largest private science sponsors in Germany. Besides its commitment to young academics, excellent universities and cutting-edge research, its task is also to examine and evaluate the German research and innovation system. How much do businesses in Germany invest in research and development? How does that impact Germany’s ability to face the future? These are the key questions addressed by the annual R&D study conducted by the Stifterverband’s science statistics unit on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
