initions AG Founds Subsidiary Opheo Solutions

The initions AG, a specialist for intelligent and innovative IT solutions, is restructuring by establishing a subsidiary: its business unit Opheo Transport Management will be operating as Opheo Solutions AG & Co. KG, or Opheo Solutions in short, as of July 1, 2021. Opheo Solutions AG & Co. KG is represented by the board of initions AG which remains composed of the two company founders Dr. Stefan Anschütz and André Henkel. initions AG is the general partner.

Opheo Solutions develops and distributes the standard software Opheo. This transport control center system enables transporting companies to fully digitize and automate their truck dispatching and thereby achieve sustainable efficiency increases and CO2 savings. Opheo has received several awards for its innovative solutions over the past decade. The intelligent interaction of the AI-based route optimization module roadEngine and the likewise inhouse-developed telematics app Opheo Mobile was honored with the Telematics Award in 2020.

Going forward, the remaining business segment “Next Generation Business Intelligence” will operate on its own under the name initions AG. Within this segment, initions AG is one of Germany’s leading consulting companies for the implementation of intelligent cloud and data platform solutions. initions accompanies its customers along the path of digital transformation in the context of Big Data, IoT, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. As a strategic partner, initions implements the latest cloud and analytics technologies in lighthouse projects for global market leaders such as Microsoft, Databricks and Snowflake.

Along with the rebranding of Opheo Solutions comes a brand refresh, which will be implemented successively in the coming weeks. “The brand Opheo stands for the pioneering use of intelligent technologies in truck dispatching. Working in close partnership with our customers, we make sustainable transport logistics possible”, says Dr. Stefan Anschütz. “This self-conception is expressed in our new brand claim ‘Opheo guides you’.” Opheo Solutions employs approximately 50 people at launch and will continue to operate from its Hamburg-Barmbek location.”
