OPHEO User Conference: Successful Knowledge Exchange With Customers and Partners

Two-day event featuring a symposium and social events above the rooftops of Hamburg with an enthusiastic participation

Hamburg, September 30, 2019 — initions AG looks back on a successful OPHEO user conference: more than 45 customers had followed their invitation to the second OPHEO user conference at the Hotel Hafen Hamburg.

The attendees, i.a. companies from the building materials, energy, freight forwarding and beverage logistics sectors, were offered a broad and informative range of topics. The symposium on September 24 started with CEO of initions AG and host of the event, Dr. Stefan Anschütz, welcoming the attendees and presenting a preview of the upcoming functional enhancements to the OPHEO digital transport control center, which will be released as part of the annual release at the end of the year.

In their presentations, numerous customer companies then talked about how they are successfully working with OPHEO, among them some long-standing customers such as BENZ Baustoffe, Max Bögl, Gerdes + Landwehr, C. Bergmann and H+H Kalksandstein. Topic-wise, the speakers’ particular focus was on presenting process digitization projects they had realized by using OPHEO, such as the integration of third-party drivers into the system, automated customer information such as notifications and shipment tracking, as well as the use of ETA data. Moreover, customers could present their practical experience from automatic tour planning in OPHEO.

Besides the technical presentations, the participants also had the opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge. On the day prior, September 23, the event had already been kicked off with a get-together meeting followed by an experts logistics tour “on the water” down the river Elbe and through the Port of Hamburg. This gave participants the opportunity for a close-up experience on the water of the logistics processes in the port with an exceptional light scenery in the background.
